Supply Technician

Major duties include, but not limited to:
Performing property accountability duties or the more routine phases of property management including inventory of non-expendable property, reporting excess property, etc. Performing records functions in inventory; storage, cataloging, receipt and control processes, and reissue and re-utilization of inventory. Overseeing stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establish or adjust stock levels and reorders using standard formulae and prescribed procedures to assure proper levels are maintained at all times. Making recommendations to Management regarding changes to products, stock processes and other areas of the supply program. Initiating procurement actions using a Government Purchase Card within prescribed laws, regulations, and guidelines. Coordinates and/or monitors all phases of the inventory process including participating in the establishment and control of inventory standards and eliminating adverse conditions affecting the inventory. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-5) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Processes supply transactions such as receipt, shipment, and/or adjustment documents. Processes supply transactions for urgent, critical shortage items, or special handling items when established procedures are not always applicable. Performing inventory management related duties including elements of item management, material coordination, and inventory control. Maintaining inventory for critical or shortage items requiring special handling, such as production, maintenance, or other special operations. Providing supply operations support for activities involving equipment requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary; however, there is a requirement to walk, push, pull, lift, climb, and bend in order to perform supply inventory stock receipt, storage and issuance, and demonstrate equipment use to patients. The employee may sit comfortably to do most of the work.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
