Job Description
As Director of Administration, you'll report to the Chief Financial Officer. The Director of Administration's primary job role is oversight, vision, and direction of the Administration Department

Core areas of proficiency:
Interface with IT department to fully develop the operational software utilized in the administrative department. Prior experience in workflow management software preferred
Functional knowledge of general ledger software in order to understand the interface between operational and accounting data

Best Practices
Develop and improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals
Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures
Accountable for obtaining desired results on key performance indicators (KPI's)
Company cash flow objectives
All AP/AR deadlines in association with customer and vendor requirements met and maintained
Monitor department productivity

Talent Management
Manage and develop the administrative employees of a fully integrated transportation group that includes accounts receivable, cash applications, collections, accounts payable and imaging
Cross department coordination required with managers/directors from sales, operations and finance departments
Plan the use of human resources to most effectively manage day to day business
Assess talent among team members and identify best fit for each operational position
Identify areas for improvement among team members and coordinate with HR department to provide training
Monitor and evaluate performance

Coordination and Supervision
Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of all team members in the department
Delegate tasks and accountabilities
Establish individual metrics for each team member
Approve and monitor staff time off

Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS or BA in management related study from a 4 year college or university; and/or 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Transportation Industry experience preferred.

Ability to use and operate Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Ability to proficiently use general ledger software
Ability to manage in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to prioritize concurrent job tasks
Must have excellent communication skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
