Cashier Store Associate Reports to:
Thrift Store Manager or Manager on duty Position
Summary:
This position provides courteous processing of all customer sales, accurate accounting for all cash-in and cash out activities, and daily balancing of the cash drawer.
Receiving, sorting, pricing, and stocking donations.
General cleaning.
Responsibilities:
Ringing up all customer sales Assist with the loading and unloading of all sold and donated goods Greet all customers, volunteers and staff in a friendly manner Inform Store Manager of any materials needed Clean and organize store premises and store stock as needed Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift Responsible for keeping an eye on the front part of the store sales floor for safety concerns/problems/neatness and to alert Store Manager or Asst.
Manager if any problems or concerns occur Answer and transfer phone calls in a professional manner Receiving, sorting, cleaning and pricing donations Participation in store events Professional
Qualifications:
Retail/resale experience a plus Business casual dress code Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Legible handwriting Good interpersonal communication skills Ability to operate standard cash register Knowledge of the use of basic cleaning materials and equipment Ability to accurately and quickly count change for client sales Desire to learn and develop new skills Ability to multitask Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to bend, squat, and lift (up to 30 lbs.
) as needed Hours 10:
00am-5:
00pm Monday-Saturday various shifts Job Type:
